Charging your smartphone or tablet battery isn't the most exciting thing, but it's essential and vital for your device.

You can charge your device with any Samsung adapter, but charging speed may vary depending on the type of charger used. It is highly recommended to always use the charger originally supplied with your Galaxy smartphone or tablet.

If you need additional cables, adapters, or replacement batteries, make sure to only use approved products.

More and more Galaxy smartphone and tablet users are reusing accessories they already own. This is why Samsung has decided, for certain brands, to no longer supply chargers or earphones with its new ranges of Smartphones.

So, if you buy a new smartphone and don't already have a compatible and approved Samsung charger, you'll need to buy it separately. However, a USB-C cable is included when you purchase your device, allowing you to easily transfer data or connect it to one of your chargers.

New smartphone ranges are compatible with USB-C chargers that support USB Power Delivery 3.0 or Quick Charge 2.0. They can be charged using a standard 15W fast charger or a 25W Superfast charger for quick charging.

Smartphones have been using the USB-C charger on their devices since 2017, the year the Galaxy and many others were launched. If you bought a Galaxy after this date, you will be able to use your old charger on a newer device.

For older ranges, the charger compatible with your new device is included in the original packaging.

Most smartphones and tablets use a USB Type-C or Micro USB charger. Type C is the newer USB charger model. This type of charger is designed to prevent damage to the inside of the USB port, regardless of how you plug it into your device.
